1. Raid loot rules?

    Hi,

I recently did a RS25 raid on Wotlk, been hunting that healer trinket for some time now and when it finally dropped, the leader gave only 5 seconds to roll for it. Unfortunately I was too slow (since I'm new and don't know all the item names by heart) and rolled after the timer, (my roll was 97 btw, the highest one), but the leader gave the item to another healer, stating that I rolled after the time.

Is it allowed to make the rolling time only 5 seconds? I just feel like it was unfair and I was robbed.

I couldn't find any raiding rules on the forum, if someone can direct me to that i would appreciate it.

  2. Raid rules are determined by the raid leader and have to be explicitly declared to every player before the raid begins.
Did he declare such a rule before the raid began, that he would only give people 5 seconds to roll?
If not, and if you have all the required screenshots for a proper report, you can open one. If he did, then yeah, you were aware and joined it anyway.

  3. He did not, nor have I screenshot of the advertisement he posted before I joined, but I have screenshots of the raid loot distribution and me missing the roll by a few seconds.

Are you suggesting I should be screenshoting every advertisement for a raid I apply to?

Also is it really bannable that raid leader only gives 5 seconds to roll, if it wasnt stated in the rule

  4. Seems like a waste of time, how will you prove that he had intent to ninja by finishing roll faster, that would mean he had to know that you will roll with delay.

  5. Also is it really bannable that raid leader only gives 5 seconds to roll, if it wasnt stated in the rule
It's a bizarre and unnecessary deviation from what's normal in any raid, that I can only think of being used exactly to cut off people who don't roll really fast and nothing else, so in my opinion yes, something *****ic like "you only have 5 seconds to roll for something you wasted hours working on" would be grounds for a ban if never informed and reported properly. The final call is on the GMs, but I don't think they would find it reasonable either.

What's needed on reports are covered here: Reporting Players [Updated: May 22, 2020]

If you raid with PUG's, you better take screenshots of everything. What's advertised, who is the RL/ML, whole raid roster, MS changes, loot rolls and so on. If something's unclear or not mentioned, confirm it with RL, e.g. if there's no mention of Primordial Saronites being reserved, double check if they are free/raid roll, or reserved after all.

  7. Well, turns out it's not bannable! After all the evidence was presented to the GM, his reply is that he cannot do anything about it. So 5 second loot rolls are a thing, it's allowed!

  8. You said you had no screenshot of the loot rules, that would make your report invalid and dismissed right away.
The screenshots listed on the link Ohie posted aren't optional or "pick what you have," they are the bare minimum.
