1. How can I avoid this level of harassment?

Hi, everyone, I am the player that controls the character Gorlais.

A player is harassing me in a very active way. He uses many methods that I have compiled in the Reddit

He couldn't insult me after I ignored him, so now he follows me everywhere, and it's VERY annoying.

I had to de-ignore him in an attempt to state very clearly that I don't want to interact with him at all, but he refuses to collaborate and keeps with his harassment. He follows me, he blocks my character with his mammoth, he does "homosexual innuendos" that I don't really want.

Why does he do this? Only he knows for certain, I can only suspect he is frustrated that he can't whisper me when I ignore him, so he relies to make his presence known in a visual way.

If a GM reads this and they can do something to help me, I would like to know what that is.

  2. There's a link to a thread informing on how to report players in the Warning you received for breaking Forum rules.

  3. Have you considered that I had read that thread several times, followed its instructions and still no help was granted to me? Did it occur to you?

Also, as far as I'm concerned I have never broken the rules of this forum. Can you remind me of the case, please?

  4. Forum rules say you can't report players in the forum, much less name them.

  5. Yes, but it is inevitable in this case to do so. Also, my intention was not to report someone, rather to get support, advice, judgement in shielding myself from a situation.

And I dare say, if I am reporting a character, that means such character was doing something that warrants reporting. So, do the GMs count this as a report? Are they working to punish that character as if a ticket with a lot of evidence was due served?

  6. They will take action if you report it in a proper place with proper evidence and explanation.
I don't know how many days this player have to follow you around with mammoth for it to even start approaching anything resembling "harassment". How can he even follow you, just go to another city, go indoors so he dismounts, idk.
To me this sounds like some absurd bull****. Like someone is complaining that eating sand is just awful, stop eating it dude. But whatever, enjoy.

  7. @angrylol

I don't know if you are trolling me or you wrote that statement for real.

Let me explain you the universal definition of harassment: to put a person in a situation they can't avoid.

I don't know if you took the time to observe ALL the images I uploaded, you can see something that may make you reconsider about your silly metaphor about eating sand.

  8. Yes, but it is inevitable in this case to do so. Also, my intention was not to report someone, rather to get support, advice, judgement in shielding myself from a situation.
It is not inevitable, you could have removed the player's name from your screenshots.

And I dare say, if I am reporting a character, that means such character was doing something that warrants reporting. So, do the GMs count this as a report? Are they working to punish that character as if a ticket with a lot of evidence was due served?
If you read the forum rules you will see the forum is not the place to report harassment.

If you want advice on how to deal with this: it seems that guy wants to get under your skin. From this thread I can see he's succeeding. Try not giving him what he wants.

  9. I'm not trolling, I'm trying to point out that it's a non-problem, it literally does not matter if someone is following you in a city, it has 0 impact on your game. It's just a self inflicted "suffering", while, it's clear that there was "something" with that guy and you want to use GM's as your deathsquad to nuke the dude. Probably GM's get a 100 dudes like you every day, they can "smell it" instantly.

Just do whatever you do in game and ignore his existence. He cant follow you in 90% of the content anyway.

Either way, if you want a real answer, make a ticket. Here on forums we are not paid to sugarcoat it for you.
