Best Professions for Gold for New Player?

New to the server and see unsure of the economy here. Seems like the best profession is selling boasting services and reserving things LOL Wow the spam is non stop! But for a new player starting out unsure the best way to make some gold. Assuming a couple gather professions? Any suggestions which ones? Do herbs and mining ore/bar sell well on the server?

Mining adamantite ore is somewhat profitable. Sells for 20g per stack. Economy is kind of slow right now tho so don't expect to sell much.

Ya a prot paladin farming Stratholme is a very good farm plus you can sell spots to boost players. Best way for a new player though would probably just be questing when you hit level 70 to start. Gathering professions are a huge time sink initially and you need gold quick to start gearing. Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley are best for amount per quest and they drop really good gear rewards as well as have quests related to attunement or scryer/aldor rep.

I believe there is 6,000 gold from quest rewards from Outland not including all the things you will vendor. You can queue RDF normal while questing to build reputations or to get attuned for Karazhan. Your initial gold should go into a flying mount.

Gathering professions are the most classic way to get gold. There will be always demand for mats and you dont jeed any investment to get these professiona. Mining and herbalism are more profitable but skinning is more reliable.


You can try crafting professions. Most reliable are jewelcrafting, enchanting and alchemy, because demamd for gems, enchants and flask/elixir/potion is constant.

Of course you have chance to earn something on professions like blacksmithing or leatherworking but its not reliable because you must find someone actually wanting your services and there is not much of these.



Quest are also a good way, at max level you get bonus gold, also you get some items you can sell, reputation and even make some attunements for raids.
