Ive done x5 dks x5 druids team i wanna start mixed tem too for pvp (priest main dk pala warrior and resto druid) the problem is ive never done mixed team before how do i make healing and how to cast it on specific character when needed while also doing dps same time
You would heal in mainly 2 different ways.
1. Mouse healing with healing addon (like grid or vuhdo) and use clickthrough if you use isboxer or in other programs like hkn you can make regions if you click in them then send a certain key to a certain window. (it gets a lot more hardcoded if you don't use isboxer, so you can't swap characters/window size and other things)
2. Heal with keys like Numpad (the downside with using numpad is that you will be slower at swapping targets or doing anything else with mouse since you have to let go of mouse) or mouse side buttons if you have a mouse with many buttons.
You can use keys as modifiers and/or keys that change behavior of some other keys to try to use more abilitys.
In Isboxer you can use the slot of the character in their macros so you don't need to hardcode names. Otherwise you need to hardcode names into macros.
Combining both mouse healing on a healing addon with macros on mouse side buttons I think would be the optimal way to play. Can also combine multiple healing addons or set up several areas you can click on the screen to make it easier to use more abilitys.
Left hand would mostly be used to control dps and right hand mostly used to control healing.
When you press a dps key then you would only send keys to warrior, pala and dk. When you press a heal key you would only send to priest and druid.
A mixed team means a lot more abilitys to use so it gets more complicated and you likely have to dumb it down a lot to make it playable well.
It will be way harder to play than 5 of the same class.
It will be like playing both a healing team and a dps team at the same time while also having abilitys from 5 classes that you have to try to combine in some easy to use way.
The hard part will be to set it up in a way where you don't try to spam hots/shield on characters that already have it and to figure out a way to be able to use many of your abilitys.
In a mixed team you mainly play from priest. It helps with using abilitys like mass dispel and fear, lets you kite a little and it also gives you more opportunity to make the healing a little better.
If you wanna do the first option I recommend to roll double heal and 3 warriors. Right timing of triple BS can destroy clustered groups of opponents and x3 charge is quite handy to close the gap against kiters. You just need to be carefull that the wartior don‘t run out of healing range when chasing down opponents.

Thank you for all tips its was really helpfull
I had inial idea of making keybind 1-5 in all dps character to do dps rotation and in healer it will be like key 1 heal party 1 key 2 heal party2 it will take alot of keybinding space but it will be easy to heal and dps since its same key but again there is alot defensive cds buff etc its more complicated and pala flash of light proc i have no idea how to manage all that since im used to only 1 class
Is there any videos of isboxer mix team tutorial i can watch to learn it
There are quite many videos on isboxer but not sure which are good and likely no guides that focus on mix team in wotlk but more generic about how to set up mouse healing, round robin and cooldowns.
A start would be to set up a healing addon and use mouse healing. Then you have 5 keys (before modifiers) to send to each character if you use a normal mouse (left, right, middle, side button1 & 2). It is good if you set it up so you can do raid healing but grid (clique can be used with grid) is also good to only show characters you want so you can make it show just your own team (or to have your team be first 5 characters then rest of raid).
Can be a good idea to combine grid + vuhdo or healbot (or a 2nd version of grid, I think you need to copy and modify the 2nd version to use a different namespace then), then you can have 10 buttons for healing and maybe one being just your team and one full raid.
You can set it up so on one of the keys you also send Flash of Light with paladin with stopcasting and on one of the keys you also send Lay on Hands with paladin. Paladin should also use Cleanse so you have 2 dispel magic.
Wild Growth you can usually send with your normal dps rotation. Buffs you can have on round robin on some hotkey that you just press out of combat.
Unrelated to mix team but you could set up healing for your dks also if you don't have it. When one dk uses lichborne everyone spam it with Death Coil.
I do agree with Brutone on dk+4 pala. It is very strong and the most fun team in my opinion.
Although each team is good at its own things. Dks with support healers is the best in large fights. Druids as surprise attackers, backline in large fights and taking down siege. Dk+4 ret in 5v5 fights and dungeons. Mix would be a stronger version of dk+4 pala if played really good but so many abilities to use well.
Dk+4 pala is easy and fun to play, usually beats all other multiboxing teams in 5v5 fights (part of the reason is that it is possible to play it with high efficiency).
I often beats stronger people with dk+4 pala. (in arena I won was against 5 regular players all dps with each character having 500-800 higher gear score than me. Won against healer+dps regular teams with similar/better gear than me also although if they exploit my weakness or protected healer then I lost. Won alone against 10 druid multiboxer + 3 dps, so 5v13. Won against bis geared multiboxing teams including mix team, when I was way below their gear score. In WG a premade that used voice communication also homed in on me but they made a mistake and didn't all attack at once and they came with only 1-2 healers at a time and I ended up with 20-30 kills against them before they finally took me down, they had a full raid but since they didn't want me to fly off after battle they engaged as soon as they could reach me)
You should seek some advice from Cae (best multiboxer on warmane) or Stepbro, both are excellent mixed mbs, arguably the best. They're both healing with @focus macro and selecting (putting on focus) their chars with 5 binds. Sounds way easier and a no-brainer compared to clicking as the other guys have suggested.
