Technical weird lag spikes

Hello. I came back to warmane with some friends after some time and to my surprise, I found out that Im having weird lag spikes, like, brutal lag spikes. First it started at 23:00 realm time (more or less) and lasted 2 hours. But now Im getting it at any moment.

How do we know its not my pc?

I logged on another pc and Im lagging as well. No addons, fresh install, fresh cache, fresh everything

How do we know its not the ISP?

A friend of mine who lives 1KM away from me and who happens to have the same ISP is not having these problems. So its unlikely its an ISP problem.

How do we know its not your router?

Im using the same router as I did last time I played here and nothing changed on my end.


What I tried:

DNS flush
tracert: showed around 253-258 ms which is (or was) my normal ms in game.



So if anyone could give me a hand I would highly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Update: tried ExitLag and didnt work

The latency spikes are super random. Sometimes exiting and opening the game again fixes the issue for the first 10 mins, then it lags again.

Same issue. ONLY Warmane is having these random lag spikes for me, no other server.

I have the exact same issue, it's so random and sometimes it gets fixed for a while by relogging.

Same stuff happening to me too , i speedtest my network 600 + mbps , downloading with 20 megabytes per second files , when i enter warmane i get huge amount of latency , sometimes 300 + sometimes 800 + sometimes even above 1500 +. My usual experience is about 40 -80 latency. That is not cool !!!.

What's not cool is the server might be experiencing a ddos attack and everyone is whining like staff is doing all of this on purpose, because they like annoying people. Go do something else while the issue is being resolved...

Im in the same page that you brother, spikes start to occur two days ago, now i get 300-1500ms some times i can play just fine for 10 minutes and then again the spikes, guess we have to wait for the server to just work fine again.

Hi, same here, All the other games with an internet connection work fine, streaming, downloads, everything. The only thing that doesn’t work well is Warmane, with several weird spikes per hour of 1500–2000 MS that last a couple of minutes and then improve on their own. My internet is fine, everything else works as usual and other online games too.

Me and all my guild mates we're having the same problem!, and it was happening all the 2 latest weaks.

Im having these weird desyncs since May, they come and go like totally random, i already tried everything that i can possible imagine, from runinng a fresh client, with 0 addons, to new drivers and even a new ISP. I can play other LK private servers normally. Sometimes i play for days with no problems, then sometimes i just login to see everyone running in place, then all game resume in 2min or so, like its fast forwarding, and sometimes, after a huge desync, game just disconnects. Sometimes happens only when i am in raid or bg. I played wow for years, i have never seen anything like this, heck! i play on warmane since vanilla (on Onyxia) with no problems whatsoever. I noticed it happens more often when server is crowded. Im playing on Onyxia, from Brazil, and aparently only me from my guild is getting heavy desyncs/disconnects. I found a weird solution that worked for some time, when desyncs started, i changed realm to Blackrock-LK, then latency goes back to normal, then login again on Onyxia, but it doesnt work anymore, lag and desyncs persists like a plague, even after restarting the pc or router. Right now server is empty (3am ST), im playing just fine (on bg at least), with full addons and all, im still having some minor lag spikes, but its playable. If someone find a permanent solution pls post here.
