So this guy really wrote a whole essay about how getting killed in a video game means people have “mental issues” and “psychopathy.” Imagine logging in, dying once to a level 40 with too much free time, and then running straight to the forum like a doctor handing out psychiatric diagnoses. Bro acts like low-level gankers are breaking into his house and stealing his groceries. It’s just pixels, relax. If someone farming newbies ruins your entire day, maybe the problem isn’t the gankers but the fact you tied your happiness to a virtual character in a tunic with a wooden sword.

I think you completely missed the point. I’m not crying because I died once to some overleveled dude passing by — that’s part of the game and nobody cares. What I’m talking about is the people who literally dedicate their entire playtime to camping low levels on repeat, killing the same player over and over until they can’t even move or enjoy the game. That’s not “PvP,” that’s not “fun,” that’s just sad behavior.
And before you try to dismiss it with the classic “it’s just pixels, bro” excuse — yeah, I know it’s pixels, thanks for the revelation. The issue isn’t that characters die, the issue is when some bored guy decides the highlight of his day is ruining someone else’s experience by preventing them from playing at all. That’s not competitive gameplay, that’s pure griefing, and anyone who pretends otherwise is just coping.
So no, I’m not handing out random diagnoses for getting killed once. I’m pointing out that if your only sense of entertainment is logging in to bully people who literally have no chance of fighting back, then yes, something is wrong upstairs. And I you exactly what I’m talking about.
