1. Why Blackrock and Icecrown Should Not Share the Same Battlegrounds

Allowing Blackrock and Icecrown players to enter the same battleground creates an unfair competitive environment. Blackrock is a purely PvP-focused realm where players receive instant max-level characters with free gear, allowing them to jump straight into endgame content without any effort. In contrast, Icecrown is a progression-based realm where players must invest significant time farming, raiding, and grinding for gear. Mixing these two realms means Icecrown players, who worked hard for their characters, are often at a disadvantage against Blackrock players who can change classes, specs, or gear instantly. This undermines the sense of achievement and progression on Icecrown and makes battlegrounds feel unbalanced, discouraging fair play and long-term engagement.

  2. Cross-realm BG not makes sense. New players (who need to farm honor) getting oneshotted all the time from Blackrock players. It's so unfair. Admins must solve this. If lack of population main problem, They can play in Icecrown too like everybody else.

  3. Beware that there are gear brackets for the battlegrounds. 5.5k GS characters get put against 5.5k characters. 6.5k get put against 6.5k and so on

Maybe the issue is that the starter gear from blackrock is too strong due to well organized caps and stats when compared to the average 5.5k GS icecrown character?

At the same time, people playing starter gear characters might not even have a clue of what they are doing since they just started touching it. So i personally think that there is balance. Maybe if the system can somehow balance further the number of blackrock players and icecrown players on each team side of the battleground, this then could be a way to further improve the current system

  4. Have been suggested and denied for years, more than once per year for sure. When cross-realm bg first started most players of all realms were against it, both casuals and main pvp. Now years later still the same, only less players que for bg. In arena solo que you can see some 5.5k blackrock players with 1k+ victories and not upgrading their gear on purpose. Blackrock turned into a testing server for "illicit activities" or "cheating" or simply wintrading. They used to tell you if you dont like it go play on another server, now warmane has competition. Mods will delete some posts as always, maybe even this one, screenshot.

  5. If you get a free PvP-ready toon on blackrock it's as simple as logging out and playing that character while you progress your Icecrown toon. It's practically the 'PvP Character' option from GW1 if its giving you free gear.

This way there's a balance between the meaningfulness of progress on the progressive realm while availability and freedom for jump-in PvP on the alternative which puts a barrier up between those types of players allowing a greater buffer for meaningfulness of their given community.

It'd be bad for the amount of queues available and restricting of freedom or option to take 1 minute to log out and queue for PvP.

This also helps Icecrown's queue times by allowing players wanting to PvP all day to swap servers and sacrifice World PvP opportunity for queued PvP.

The suggestion isn't worthwhile. Just switch toons.

Copypaste your characters data and rename it to the appropriate folder - as far as I recall you'll get the same bindings and macros on your new blackrock toon? Easy!
