Me and my friend are looking to start fresh characters, because it has been a while and we both feel like it is, once again, the time to do so.
I never really delved deep enough into the differences of Lordaeron and Icecrown, specifically their drop rates. Both of us really do enjoy the leveling experience, especially if we find people doing their own thing around as at any point of the journey to 80. Yet we also plan to do end game content both PvP and PvE. In that sense, looking at the active player counts, it seems like Icecrown will be the one we will choose, I have heard people say that Lordaeron can get a bit sweaty at the end game and the amount of people raiding might be quite small, so difficult to get into them. And I imagine Icecrown having players for pretty much all activities, obviously with more gankers too. Feel free to correct me if Im wrong on anything, I do not know much about the end game here and want the best experience. We will probably get the EXP rates down to x1 or x2 though.
So drop rates. How do they differ between these two realms? Are greens/blues more frequent while you level? What about raids/RHC? Is it noticeably different throughout the levels? I have tried Icecrown not too long ago and I got like 5 greens while completing 2-3 quests in the starter area. So it does seem different, but is there an official post about this? Cause all I can find are gold, rep, exp, prof rates but not drops.
