One of my favorite things in WoW is using costumes and disguises - pirate, ninja, skeleton, wolf, and all the others. They’re purely cosmetic, but they add so much flavor to the game.
Some costumes (like the Dread Corsair buff from Pirates’ Day) are amazing because they let you fully enjoy the look without interruptions. You can keep the costume for hours, even while fighting, mounting, or after dying, and it’s completely harmless.
Other costumes don’t behave the same way and break much more easily. It would be fantastic if more costumes worked like Dread Corsair, so players can enjoy their favorite looks longer and more freely. Some costumes even allow something amazing: if you put another costume on top, you can actually keep the shorter one even after it expires, as long as the longer one is still running. This means you can enjoy really unique looks while still mounting, casting, and fighting.
It’s purely cosmetic, zero impact on gameplay balance, and just more fun for everyone. I see no advantage in having a different look for an hour instead of 3 minutes.
Would the team consider improving certain costume behavior (for example, Savory Deviate Delight or Hallow’s End wands) so they last longer and work like Dread Corsair does?
