I would like to share one interesting story about my long lost account. I didn't log since 2015 (approximately) and now when i came back, ofc i have forgotten the password, i made request for my email/acc retrieval providing all the needed personal info of the account. I can always prove that i am the original owner without a problem (even the email/acc username are similar for example [email protected] for email and myname for the username).

While i was offline for long period this account was somehow stolen (as i searched more deep trough events i saw there was data breach in 2016 December). I didn't know that account was played by someone else because i stopped playing and i had no idea what is happening with it. Here is my problem, i see that there was some account trading involved in this account - there was a ban which was 2-3 years later lifted. In support messages i even found the name of this person who was (i guess) playing on this account (i am not gonna list the name but if needed i can provide it). The name was in the ban appeal message as an introduction: My name is blabla i didnt do this / that and so on. Problem is that when i last logged in to the account i had warrior with low gear and 2 donated items. Nothing special, it was compensation from Molten downtime took dbw hc + shoulders and some items for vote points.
Now i log into the account to find fully geared warrior with strange name. There was no additional donation done on the account but there were some gifted coins.

Okay so this was the story, now the question: What do i do about my account privacy? Account was reverted to the original/registration email, but do i have to worry about this scammer/thief about getting my info? Can i inflict my IP address with this persons doing (to be considered as a account trader even though i am not)?

I can easily show that the IP addresses are not the same also the names are not the same (my name is in the acc name, the thief's name is obviously not same as mine).

Should i open a ticket and tell my story to Staff ? Or is increasing my account security enough? The person changed email multiple times - the part i have forgotten to mention.

Also from the moral perspective of this story: I feel bad for the person gearing up this character, but they were never the original owners of the account which was long lost.
