1. 2 must have Chat Filter addons

    Hello.
I wrote both addons with help of LLM (DeepSeek). Took me 1-2 hours for promts and testing, and some electricity in China, i guess.

    - First addon filters messages that contain specific words (you can add/remove/change them ONLY in lua file, it is quite simple) so you dont see all messages which you would rather not see.

    - Second addon is made for Dalaran, to filter opposite faction spam in Say, Emote and Yell chats.

They work nicely for me, but i am not sure about their performance, since i have quite strong PC and it never lags in WoW even in prime time Dalaran. So if it will start lagging for you - i am sorry, dont blame me.

  2. It works well! One thing though, it seems to be in Russian. https://gyazo.com/cb062d4a7c4190d56e925f505e6b5cdc Ill keep using this regardless, thank you!

  3. I am glad you like it.
Regarding language, you can upload .toc and .lua files to any LLM, and say "Here is WoW 3.3.5 addon. It works well, so dont change anything in its structure, but i need to translate words in Russian to English (or w/e you need).

  4. DOn't want to ruin your fun, but both of those already exist

I filter specific words/sentences with "Prat" and it allows me to even select where i want to block it. So instead of blocking something globally, one can block specific words on specific chat types (whisper/guild/channel/say/yell/raid/party). And yes, Prat is a whole chat enhancer, so if the person just want this specific feature that'd be a bummer i guess. But even then, the add-on BadBoy and ChatFilter exists, too. I still prefer Prat because the feature is much more advanced either way, be it in comparison with ChatFilter or in comparison with BadBoy (though ig BadBoy is focused on anti-spam, but i don't even experience spam in WoW since i have Prat and i can block specific annoying words on Global chat)

As for the add-on that blocks opposite faction pollution on Dalaran, that one already existed too but i forgot the name right now

Also Prat allows you to do even more than filtering, such as setting sound notifications for specific words/sentences/text as soon as they're detected, which means that even while alt-tabbed, i never miss any raid that i'm looking forward to do

First thing that came to mind is that i would appreciate this message before i started my promting/testing for addons that i really needed.
BTW search didnt help, i only found some solutions for retail, which obviously didnt work on warmane.
So i started promts in LLM with goal for addon to be minimalistic, no UI (i absolutely dont mind adding words in LUA file manually) and lightweight.
I even wrote IgnoreAll addon (based on my ChatFilter) that keep names ignored for all my accounts, again, no UI, i add names in LUA file, quite short and simple. And ignored people dont get message that i am ignoring them, which is even better (yes im quite toxic), i just dont see their messages.

So looking on this Prat addon after my short experience of writing addons (more like writing promts for LLM), i would still 10/10 times prefer my addons just for their pure simplicity.
As for the performance, im not sure if there is correlation between lua file size and its load on CPU, but my files are much smaller.
