Something that was normal for the past years should not even be considered a bug and just left as normal, removing something that was being helpful is not fixing
The xp lower level characters get when grouped with high level ones is proportionally lower now, as it should be.
But I guess thats actually sad as you might think. People leveled though dungeons, boosted people, did get gold from people, leveled 150 alchemy toons to 68 lvl though dungeon, but now they are gonna have what they earned, by using this bug for months, maybe years? I dont know how long it existed. But w/e

I think fixing this bug, had others reason than just fixing the bug, because there is no way it took you guys to fix it 4 years, such crucial bug... ?
Maybe thinking isn't your forte then.
Especially when we keep fixing old bugs all the time, whenever we get new data to make things work properly. This is nothing new and it never ceases to amaze how certain people instead of going "finally fixed, about damn time," which would be a normal reaction, go "hurr durr i see wut u doin is all fur munnyz" like there are handicaps involved.
I believe (like me) and other people didnt knew that it was bug and I thought it is working as intended, since I used to boost years ago aswell, and since I did this week aswell, I had no idea it is bug.
My apologies, I am not programmer. Just a thought💭
antiboost in dungeons was not added in wow until the rerelease of tbc classic. seems redundant on a high rates server.
Antiboosting measures like CC immunity and mobs-teleportation yes. But I think they just reset the XP penalties (which were always active since the initial release of the game) to their original values. Maybe the system was not working as intended and players took it, at face value, as a normal feature. Or as something that the server allowed at least since it's not retail. I leveled up a few of my toons that way in order to gain time (I only play on x1 Lordaeron) and because I had played the game "the fair way" before saving time and energy that way. Others used boosting as a way to gain money off of other players. This has always been a pet-peeve of mine, I kept it for personal use.
The real question is : why did it take 10 years to "collect enough data" to correct this bug when people have been spamming "DUNGEON RUSHES FOR GOLD/COINS" almost everyday in the global channel since 2015 (both Lordaeron and Icecrown). There is a clear correlation to the release of the WOTLK season on Onyxia, that's true. However, i'm not sure it's primarily meant to encourage donations. If they wanted money there are far worse predatory measures they could put in place. But it might just be to protect the donations they already have, to some extent, after being compleasant about dungeon-boosting for years. As well as a pretty simple way to balance the new Wotlk classix experience I suppose.
I say "compleasant" because you have to be to let a usebug happen freely for a decade straight without any form of bans, punishment, or announcement. I'm not here to accuse of anything, because there's nothing with that. Multiboxing is controversial for many but allowed by both the Warmane team and Blizzard's. It's just weird that it's all of a sudden considered a "bug", when it was considered normal in practice for a decade, without any actions or official notes to address the issue.
This has been in the game for 10 years. What were you doing these past 10 years not fixing it and "fixed" it all of a sudden? Stop trying to find lame excuses. We all knows this "bug" has been "fixed" so you can make more money. Grown people btw...
You say grown people while you decided to post that reply.
Is leveling (in high exp server[s]) too hard for you?
