How does gearing work on Blackrock?

I only play on Onyxia, so I was curious how gearing on Blackrock works.

Looking at the ladder, right at the top there is a warrior (https://armory.warmane.com/character...ckrock/summary) with 103 HKs and full gear. I was under the impression that BC chars have to just spam BGs to get any gear, including BiS PvE. Is there something I am missing?

There was a quest on Blackrock which made it possible to get honor through arena.
Nevertheless Onyxia is currently on a advantage gearing vice. Thats the case for several reasons: WG doesn't exist on Blackrock and it rewards a enormous amount of honor. Raiding Naxx requires significant less time than farming honor for loot boxes on Blackrock. And most importantly, the savage gladiator gear doesn't exist on Blackrock so players there don't have the 4 set bonus and significant less resilience than Onyxia players.
That warrior managed to get rank one w/o even having the 4 set bonus so I assume that even with that handycap he just managed to outskill the arena players of Onyxia.

Ye that´s very cool, no need to zealously defend Blackrock.
I couldn´t care less about who has WG honor and who can bug honor gain without ever having to step into BG, was just curious how it works, that´s all.
