Hi everyone,
I’m looking to improve the visual quality of my WotLK client, but I want to avoid the common "HD Texture Packs." In my experience, those packs often cause memory leaks or crashes, and I'd prefer to keep the game stable and lightweight on the CPU/RAM.
My main goal is to get rid of the "blurry" and "noisy" look of the original 3.3.5 client and achieve a sharper, more modern image. I am specifically looking for:
Graphic Upscaling/Sharpening: Ways to make the textures look crisp at higher resolutions.
Anti-Aliasing improvements: Reducing shimmering and jagged edges without a huge FPS hit.
Clarity: A clean look that preserves the original art style but removes the "fuzziness."
I know about ReShade, but I’m concerned about it affecting the HUD/UI or being too resource-heavy. Are there specific shaders (like CAS or SMAA) or config tweaks (like SET spellEffectLevel) that you recommend for a clean, sharp look?
I'd love to hear your setups for making the game look "remastered" while keeping it running buttery smooth on the 3.3.5 engine. What are your suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
