1. Ninjalooting in game

General topic. Did anyone actually get help from the administration after reporting a stolen item in a raid? I reported this situation for the third time with evidence and the only response was that they would look into the situation and silence for 2 weeks and the guy Cutiee is wearing my pants and stands in Dala, laughing at me in private because they didn't do anything to him. What's your experience? I reported a topic about Sundern on Icecrown but I also had situations on my DK.So how was it with you?

  2. Your evidence is probably insufficient

  3. Well, they were sufficient. They show me exactly what and how, and every subsequent one. What's more, I always only get a notification that they'll review the evidence and nothing more. And the guy privately messages me and laughs about how he steals items with impunity, so I asked here how it's going for you.

  4. Well, they were sufficient.
Did the GM who replied to your ticket say so? Because it has to be sufficient for them, not for you. There are very clear specifications for the bare minimum evidence a report must contain to even be investigated.

Also, what help exactly do you expect? As far as I'm aware, it isn't an obligation for GMs to contact you back, your role in the matter ends at making the report. In those two weeks the supposed ninja could have been banned and returned from the ban, assuming you haven't just been obsessively stalking them daily since you made the report.

If you were expecting them to have the item removed - or even worse, for you to receive the item - reading the thread on how to properly make a ninja report should have already told you that's not going to happen.

I suggest you also comb through this Forum post: https://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=325598

It nicely details how reporting works and how/what to include in your report. Your chances of getting the offender banned for ninja looting are greatly increased if you follow these rules

  6. Of course I wasn't following him. I just logged in after two weeks and saw him proudly wearing my item. From what you're saying, it means you can steal an item with impunity, then wait out the ban and wear it. That's rough. I did everything according to the instructions to submit a ticket.

Then chances are he got banned and as just already back from it at some point during those two weeks.

The ban duration increases if it happens again, turning permanent eventually, but yes, it's all about discouraging the behavior with the ban time. Keep in mind retail didn't even have the rules we do or any ban for taking loot.

  8. It seems so, but I started this discussion specifically to see how many people it's happened to. Oh well, I have to steal the DBW. Since I reported on another character and there were no consequences, what's the point of a 2-week ban for this item^^

afaik ban for ninja looting an item in raid is far more than 2 weeks, most likely he wasnt banned and that your report wasnt good enough for GM to ban that guy. You need to include images or video with proof of ms changes, rolling, raid rules like certain items being reserved, if i understood he took DBW, some raid leaders would say "lower than 100k damage on beast is loot banned etc etc"
