Transmogging horde-only items on alliance char

Hey guys, is there any way (icecrown server) to transmog horde-only items like Twin's Pact staff or Staff of Feral Furies on alliance character? Something like changing faction with points -> getting right item -> transmogging it on my current staff-> then changing faction back to ally? Would my transmogged appearance of staff remain? Or any other way maybe?

Transmogs aren't affected by the typical faction conversions. I think the faction limit is only to buy one in this case. The staff in question doesn't have race limitation.

I think the transmog stays or at least it used to if you change factions...maybe it depends on items but thats a guess. I remember transferring a druid years ago to alliance and my xmog stayed (although I cant recall if that xmog was in any way faction or race related sorry but I think it was meant for horde only since until now I still didnt see a night elf druid with it)
