WotLK Help on returning to the game

I hope you are all doing well.

I am reaching out because I recently returned to World of Warcraft after some time away, and I was surprised to discover that the Frostwolf server has been shut down. Unfortunately, all of my characters were on that server, and it seems like I have lost access to all of them.

I had invested a significant amount of time into those characters, and it is quite discouraging to come back and find everything gone. I wanted to ask if there is any way to recover those characters, transfer them to another server, or restore them in any form.

If recovering or transferring them is not possible, I would really appreciate if there might be any alternative solution such as granting a max level character on another server so that I do not have to start completely from scratch.

I understand that policies and limitations may apply, but I would be very grateful for any help or guidance you can provide.

From what I can gather, character level boosts aren't available anymore, based on replies on 11th and 12th pages of the link.
