[A] Scarlet Brotherhood server event tomorrow!

We are running an event tomorrow, April 24th 2026 @ 14:00 server time, open to all players that wish to join. As tracking player levels during the two-hour event via the in-game guild roster is required I'm posting this under Recruitment:

The Running of the Booms (in honor of our favorite Shaman, Boomfreaka, turning 40) :

A race to level a new Draenei character as high as possible over two hours. Characters must be lvl.1 and at the Draenei starting area, as well as join the guild for the duration of the event for tracking purposes. Participants may freely use mage portals, warlock summons, RDF, pre-sent gold, trade-able items, gear, and/or heirlooms. They may not submit more than one character, multi-box, use any server boost, or anything else that reasonably would be considered cheating.

Race Prizes: gold will be awarded for the first and second players to reach level 40, or failing that, whoever is the highest level at the end of the event after two hours. If multiple players are the same level at that time the first one to break the tie will be declared the winner. First prize will be 1,000 gold x the number of participants, capped at 40,000 gold. Second prize will be 1/5th of that total, capped 8,000 gold.

In addition, every participant that at least reaches level 10 will be eligible to win an X-51 Nether-Rocket X-TREME very fast mount (or the 14 Warmane coin equivalent) regardless of their final level. Participants may earn additional chances to win the the mount for each 5 levels attained (up to 40).
A +50% bonus multiplier (rounding up) will be awarded to the winner of the name contest, chosen by Boom (Likes: cats, Wilfred Fizzlebang, Hates: Sindy)
A +50% bonus multiplier (rounding up) will be awarded to the first player to reach the Mirage Raceway finish line in the Shimmering Flats.

So, some quick examples:
Someone reaches level 9, they get no entries for the mount even if they win the name contest.
Someone reaches level 10, they get 2 entries. If they also win the race to the Flats they'd get 3 entries.
Someone reaches level 25, they get 5 entries. If they also win the race to the Flats they'd get 8 entries. (7.5 rounded up)
Someone reaches level 40, they get 8 entries. If they also win the name contest AND Flats race, they get 16 entries.

At the end I'll total all entries, set a fixed list, post the full list to our discord server, and /roll in-game to determine the winner. That player's account will receive the 14 Warmane coins needed to purchase the mount but may ultimately use the coins how they wish.

If you're still reading I might as well throw in a guild advert here since this is my first forum post.

We've been around about 2.5 years at this point. I, Skerrin, initially started Scarlet Brotherhood because at the time there seemed to be no English-primary Alliance guilds helping new and returning players, just region-specific and high-end raiding guilds. We built up our core with amazing players and once our members hit 80 they didn't want to leave, so we started gearing up for raids, and yet they stuck around, then Naxx, Ulduar, ToC, ICC, Heroics, etc. I always describe the guild as Social/Raiding - despite our GS I will not turn my back on the initial goals of the guild: to help players connect with a strong, positive community. We have an amazing core and an encouraging, relaxed attitude - we have made friends with tons of excellent players and other guilds along the way. We hold our members to a high standard of behavior and I take pride when I hear from other guilds about how we represented ourselves in their events.
