Hey Warmane,
I've been building a Hardcore challenge addon for WotLK 3.3.5a and it's now ready for open beta testing. If you've ever wanted to experience true Hardcore on Warmane — one life, permanent death, no cheating — this is it.

What is it?
HardcoreWotLK is a free addon that turns Warmane into a proper Hardcore experience. It tracks your run automatically, enforces the rules, communicates with other HC players in the world, and handles everything passively — you just install it and play.

Two modes:

Standard HC — Death by any game mechanic is permanent. PvP deaths are protected by the Blood Pact system. Trading, Mail, and AH are allowed. Group only with other HC characters.
Self-Found — Same as Standard HC but the Auction House, Mail, and Trading are fully disabled and enforced by the addon. Everything you have, you found yourself.

What the addon does:

Tracks your run from level 1 to 80 — every level, every death, every zone logged
Broadcasts deaths to the world via party, guild,
Automatically leaves your group if a non-HC player joins
Detects if you died while the addon was off and ends your run
Blood Pact protects you from PvP deaths — a 60-second grace window after being hit by a player
Works on Onyxia, Lordaeron, and Icecrown


Death Knights:
DKs can enroll at level 55. A non-DK character on your account must have died at level 55 or higher first — that's the sacrifice that unlocks the DK path.


This is an open beta running until June 1st.
Everything is working but I want real players testing it before the v1.0 release. If you find a bug, something feels wrong, or you have a suggestion — I want to hear it.

v0.9.2 — Stable Release
After two weeks of open beta testing, v0.9.2 is now considered stable and ready for real play. No major issues were reported during beta, the bugs that were found have been fixed, and the core systems have all been verified working across multiple classes and playstyles on Icecrown, Lordaeron, and Onyxia.
