3v3 solo question

I have a few questions:

1. Why are my random teammates in 3v3 solo ranked matches all with gear scores (GS) as high as 5800-6400? Are they all getting sponsored gear, or did they gradually increase their scores themselves?

2. My GS is 5200 (I've already collected all the necessary items), and when I go into a 3v3 solo match, my teammates say I shouldn't be queuing for solo with that gear. Is this normal? But if I don't play weekly to earn points, how can I gradually collect PvP gear?

1. Maybe they are from Blackrock (PVP only server where you get instant 80 and 5,5k+ GS pvp gear) or they just have been playing for a long time

2. Ignore them or play 2v2

I also get questions about why I que with 5.2k gs, when I que with my alt. I have a different question - why do people with 6.6k gs que with randoms if they want to climb rankings?
