1. Yes, but you're probably playing those dirty Alliances again.

  2. Lol you are actually here posting on the forums? :D I remember the video where you showed you were banned :P
Everyone received amnesty when Warmane started up, regardless of what happened prior.

  3. Yes, but you're probably playing those dirty Alliances again.
Nah im playing horde! You can find me as a Tauren Warrior prot like back in the day :)

Everyone received amnesty when Warmane started up, regardless of what happened prior.
    Ah i see... That's why :)

  4. I wouldn't worry about the future of Warmane. It's in good hands.
That is probably what Kaer said when Hermes became the leader :D:D (Sorry i had to do it )
    Spoiler: Show

  5. With my own return I have also been educating myself on this subject and researching. Private server communities are strong, numerous and independent. The positive and negative opinions about Molten (and to an extent Warmane) were not formed in one day. I had said this in the past and will say again that many negative posts aimed against us have been false propaganda. Unfortunately, a joint, united false propaganda of a number of private servers with the aim to bite off population. Obviously Molten's disaster tasted delicious to the competition and for that reason the harmful intent persists, but to a lesser degree now as Warmane is not to be trifled with.

That said, not all negative opinions were false nor did they all belong to mislead players. For reasons many of us know, Molten Wrath of the Lich King was nearly abandoned for 2 years. By the time of its 'abandonment' it was indeed the best Wrath of the Lich King experience with some respectful competition such as Gamer District and WoWcircle being viable choices. However in the 2 years that Molten's WotLK development halted - Trinity did not sleep and developed slowly and steadily. In 2015 Trinity already had a comparable experience to old Molten's WotLK with some strengths in content and weaknesses in endgame scripting, exploit fixes, stability and optimizations.

Today and my personal opinion is that Molten should not have even dived into Mists of Pandaria back in the days, but for some reasons a decision was made to launch it and in a relatively rushed state, the state that we're pulling it today and doing it better than any other MoP private server. Our Cataclysm is also one of the most competitive and in its own right the most complete Cataclysm realm, especially considering endgame content with some notable and respectable private servers such as Atlantiss also working to improve the quality for private server communities. Today Lordaeron PTR is already the most complete Wrath of the Lich King realm in the world.

The disaster that befell us shook up the dormant foundation and with a bitter sacrifice. Currently and in terms of future quality I see no equals to Warmane and what we are aiming to achieve, by saying it I am considering our experience, skills, community strength, support, manpower and wisdom. As for our 'toxic haters' within our own community, when I always say to myself "if they didn't care, they wouldn't complain".

tl;dr Not everyone who pointed out Molten's or Warmane's drawbacks were propagandists or haters, many opinions were justified and valid. Our existing realms are formidable and remain the best realms of each expansion no matter how much one tries to twist is and Lordaeron will be Warmane's first realm and a standard for many of us. We are the 'best bet' and can be expected to be only improving over time. I am confident that our hard work already has been and will continue curtail the scale of 'bashing'. Ultimately we want to have what we deserve and I strongly believe in the power of 'word of mouth', but much of our community is honest and a 'word of mouth' must also be truthful and we work so that there really is much to be proud of when spreading the word. fail long tl;dr :)

  6. long story that kaer posted (yes I did read it all... even the TL TL;DR.
My question is, why are you not already spreading the fixes active on lordaeron to the other 2 wrath realms? :) I do not like x1 much, and find the leveling a bit too tedious... but I like to do quests :)
It would also benefit you earlier for the word of mouth.

As a last thing: Different people have different views on how a server is the best. (Example: person A likes leveling, all quests must be fixed, person B likes dungeons and small roleplays, this must be fixed for him. person C wants to raid, all raids needs to be fixed. Person D wants PvP, all PvP things must be fixed.) You can see that it is hard to make everyone happy, make the best for everyone :) I do however believe that lordaeron's quality is what we are looking for (Person A,B,C&D all together).

Database is not yet compatible and there are too many structural changes and updates which can potentially override high population optimizations to risk launching it live on any of the existing realms. Making such an update now would also be unwise and underwhelming with all expectations. With Lordaeron we want to achieve quality on WotLK unmatched, possibly unmatched by other expansions as well (comparing to the classic and TBC private servers).

  8. sounds good & reasonable :) keep up the good work, looking forward to it alot!

  9. Thank you for the satisfying input, Kaer :) For me the MoP rush was also a mistake. I did go to @#$%&*( )*&¨%$ at one point, since they also offered transfers and instant levelups with free gear, but I quickly gave up on that server because it was just too "sloppy". !@#$%¨&*( never really enticed me in any way, so I never tried it. Another private server which takes pride in its quality is !@#$%¨&*( but its population is way too low for it to offer an enjoyable experience, and they only have a couple of devs, who albeit hardworking are unable to keep up quality-wise.

So here I am back to Warmane, my break was 2-3 months. In that time the guilds went back to LoD/Bane, the realms had a lot of fixes from AT's merge, and I am looking forward to Lordaeron's launch just like people are looking forward to Windows 10 - the one that will launch and completely overshadow the rest and settle the argument once and for all (but don't take my words for Win10 :D )

  10. Popularity/ spreading awareness.

The rather ominously titled 'Warmane's biggest enemy' thread was closed before i could post in it, yet i would like to say a few related things.
To jump right into it; i love the ambition and scope of the renewed Lordaeron, and i applaud your efforts on it, but i will not participate myself. I have supported the server a fair bit, and im perfectly fine with resources going there, but it wont be my realm of choice at any point, but i do hope all realms will keep receiving a more or less equal treatment.
I've been telling myself i will try out that TBC project everyone is talking about and love it but chances are i will give up on it within a week. Quests are a means to an end, only very rarely are they truly immersive and moving, but thats just me being a bit of a cynical bastard. Cant help that (yet).

I digress, the main goal for me coming here were fast leveling, yet being inside the best expansion the game has seen IMHO (which is Wrath). I had played on the former AT for a while before that time (were talking mid 2013 here) and i liked it, but it was often too intense for me (what a noob), but even more often just not diverse enough for me. So coming back to the complete experience, or at least something quite close to it, seemed like a good and logical choice. Yet PvP related things still have my preference, have been since season 2 on retail servers. And ive noticed a very marked decline in arena/ BG ques since the resurrection of the server. At the same time class mechanics, pathfinding and some other things have been worked over and improved alot. I dont think the aim should be to have everyone that likes PvP on Blackrock/ Warsong, but we should rather keep some diversity alive.

The hardest part of making that happen is making the Warmane servers as a whole visible to the public. I loved the games in the last tournament, but i think the execution and promotion of it had notable room for improvement. I wonder how many people that were at least semi-active in the 'private server scene' are even completely aware of the fact that Blackrock = Arena Tournament = Warmane.

But much more importantly, how many people interested in non-retail WoW even know that Warmane is doing well (outside some of my usual graveyard shift hours, do we need more americans? yes we do!) and is improving in alot of ways after the big crash?

As a final note; while probably everyone supports your ambition and effort into the new server, some of us wont take part in it, but more importantly, it can not depend solely on drawing people already part of this community, for this, but also other reasons. Get out there somehow :)

  11. First, a thank you to everyone who participated in the previous thread. I was scared that it wouldn't be noticed and that it would sink to the next pages of the forum without being discussed. I am glad I was wrong :) I was happy to see the community was looking healthy and alive with people giving constructive feedback and all! And thanks for continuing the discussion twilitez! It really shows that other people care about this topic, and I think that is a very good sign. The community needs to care about the server for it to grow, and some of us here very clearly do care a lot. :D Awesome!

I also had things I wished to have said before the thread was closed. Specifically a big thank you to Mercy, who I think deserves more public, positive recognition for her/his actions. Kaer Wolf, or whoever is in charge of the mods here, you need to hold on to this one tightly, you've got yourself a great member of the team.

I'm their scapegoat more than anything. Half the things I get accused of I'm not even responsible for in any way. But it's ok. I'll be the villain because they need me to be.
I'm grateful we have a mod here that is mature enough to say the right things, no matter the crap he/she is given. I have seen some rude and mean posts on these forums and it is the job of the mods to handle things like that. One thing I have seen criticized about Molten/Warmane is that you get banned on the forums if you point out problems with the server. This is so completely and utterly false. You get banned for being a rude jerk who says mean or false things with only ill intentions, after being given warnings and not listening to those warnings.

The mods give fair warnings, and this is coming from personal experience. I've thrown my own tantrum in the past about certain things I did not agree with about the server. I was being a rude, immature complete a-hole on the forums, saying things that were untrue and mean because I was angry. Basically, I was extremely and heavily over exaggerating the lack of attention the realm that I played on gets compared to other realms, in terms of bug fixes or whatever. I look back at some of the choices I made back then and I just shake my head, I made an embarrassment of myself.

I was not banned or punished. Instead, I was messaged by Mercy and the discussion was taken to a private area. I was given a warning, a chance, to calm down, stop spreading falsehoods and stop being a jerk. That is exactly what I did, I learned a lesson and I recollected myself. *IF* I had been instantly banned like Dodgy and other people on Reddit claim to have happened to them, of course I would have been furious. But this was not the case at all.

In all honesty, thank you Mercy for being such a good Mod for Warmane.

'' i will try out that TBC project '' - Dont get this one?
Anyway Im not worried too much. When the major updates come from Lordaeron to other realms too, people will still play on those other realms cuz they want to play pvp or doing raids not leveling their toon for 100th time.
But also there are people who love slow progress, non donors etc. so it will be cool to have that kind of a realm.

  13. The rather ominously titled 'Warmane's biggest enemy' thread was closed before i could post in it, yet i would like to say a few related things.
I've merged your thread with that one, and I've re-opened the thread.

Even though the top 100 lists were a little corrupt (rigged), the fact was we were towards the top on the ones we participated in and that was great advertising for new players. Warmane has it's reasons for leaving those, which are not in dispute. But what it means is most of our influx of new players will end up coming from word of mouth. For which Warmane has put itself in the position of deciding to deliver the best customer service experience of all private servers to maximize the number of people who go find friends to join. I think that is important to note. I'm not going to discuss how Warmane actually ranks customer service wise at this time, but I have confidence they intend to continue working on that.

The point, if you think they are responsive to what the community feels is needed, go out and get your friends to join.

Hype is not always good cause the more you hype it the more people would be dissapointed. I would use as an example goodie bags, something that was hyped and over hyped, and look what happened the feedback was ... I know this is a little off topic and no I AM NOT BASHING ANYONE so don't delete my post.
