I am never spending another $ on Blizztard.

Well, they deserve money for Hearthstone but that's it already. I casually play it on the side since it still has the old Blizzard charm that the warcraft games had. WoW has become a joke at this point, and the "spark of hope" every single expansion that people see in hope to get the game back they loved, just to get disappointed. Can't wait for everyone to get disappointed from Legion.

Honestly, in my personal opinion, it doesn't make sense that Blizzard would shutdown a private server (unless they are explicitly selling playtime). They can use them to know how much demand there is for older expansions, open their own old server if necessary. And many players move to retail after some time on private servers.
It sounds more like they broke and made that story so that people won't get disappointed, and call them greedy.

They don't want legacy servers at this point, since im 100% sure it's their "lets squeeze out the last bucks" back up plan for when they finish developing WoW. Right now it makes more sense to hype up expansions and cash in on sales, rather then going back in time and getting people stuck without any further purchases. Shutting something down that targets a different audience is quite in their interest, especially if they think about cashing in on said audience at a later point in time.

If Legion fails I thinks it the end of WoW, it would take a minimum of 1 year to try to fix it, and I don't think people will wait to 2018th year after 2 failures.
