I think that you have been disrespectful to our work by constantly implying that we are just lazy for not coming up with unreasonable magical solutions to a problem even retail has. Don't expect to be pampered by me, expect the opposite if that continues. Your narrow-mindedness on the subject won't be an alleviating factor.
Let that tell you a lot about me as a person.

I think talking to me like that from your moderator's chair its not very polite and show me a lot for you as person. And yeah, that subject is very difficult, as much as quantum physics.
I personally think he's been more than polite and patient with the amount of BS that's been spewed in these two similar topics. You people find it hard to install an addon and ignore a few people when you join global but you think it would be easy for GMs muting / banning / whatnoting hundreds of accounts every day. And all that even after he explained and pointed out all the workarounds that players would find to continue doing so. Your hypocrisy and one sdied thinking is beyond comprehension.

I can't argue with that, you're right. It's really impossible with the numbers you have to keep under control 20.000 people, I completely understand that. Though, pardon my stuborness, do you think (Speaking to everyone) that there's something we could do to put remedy to this situation, aside from the ignore feature?

All constructive suggestions and ideas will help.

I personally can't think of any that is feasible with all factors taken in consideration - our number of GMs, of servers, of players, how easy it is to create disposable accounts, etc. Simply creating a rule would have no effect, as there would be no need for punishment if people respected them in the first place. Taking the Forums as example, we have had the rule not allowing advertising of sales for three years, and we still get people trying. Some automatic chat monitor either would have room to be fooled with "creative typing" or be so harsh it would end up sending many wrong bans, anything in between would just have a bit of both problems. Manually enforcing it would require way more people than we have to cover 5+ servers at any time (and even retail to this day has spam and advertising and people chatting like if it was their own /w). I think the most that GMs could do is deal mutes or short bans when they are around, but that would still be taking time away from replying to tickets and monitoring rule-breaks and could be argued to be a drop in the ocean, not something that would solve a problem rooted in the fact creating accounts with us is quick, easy and free.

Best way is to just get over it as it will never end. IMO time to just grow up and move along, some things you will have to deal with in life.

But hey if you dont like it, you can just leave the channel(s)
