Hello! I would like to ask if there is any possibility to add Hardcore mode to this Onyxia realm... Me and 4 friends are going to join World of Warcraft but we want to play a Hardcore mode... And we don't want to pay for the Classic version just for HC. I think that is an interesting mode that a lot of people are interested... Im not saying that the realm should be HC only, just a feature to add so me and some friends and also other players if they will like can enjoy too... Please it'll be awesome.
I don't see them doing it officially as part of the server. But HC started as a personal challenge, that was shared on forums, and evolved into what it is today. There's nothing stopping you, or your friends, from agreeing to a Challenge Run with whatever rules you want, and playing that way on Onyxia. Those rules could be death=delete. They could include never equipping things of green or better quality (Iron Man Challenge). They could something like leveling a staff-only warrior, or a dagger mage, or whatever else you want. The challenges always started with an honor system/code (you agree to follow it, and we trust you're being honest about not breaking the rules)...the addons and then servers with the ruleset hardcoded happened later.
Don't worry mate, Warmane could care less about your PvE mental fixation and choose how to setup the realm in way to bring most players and revenue, I'm sure we both know which one they will choose ?
please don't tell me people still calling pvp to some stupid *** rogue screaming bankai in stv and mocking killing pve people who can't even have a trinket, know what disarm, free action potion, harmstring, roots, reset or a bleed is. real pvp is on bgs, thats gives ranks, if not is a one minute clip
I tried server a bit and leaving opinions:
- x5 is better than I expected, not rush not slow. This is probably because of vanilla scaled experience base, we won't level WotLK based experience in Vanilla content, so x5 is okay.
- RDF is great with no items, actually I love RDF but I had some worries about free blue items because that may be ruin Vanilla spirit and people can skip dungeon quests which give good item rewards. But only some potions reward is totally great.
- PvP/PvE issue: I'm okay with "fair" wPvP but if there is no way to prevent 80 undead rogues in Redridge or vice-versa, I'm on PvE side. But I'll play the server regardless on this.

Hello. I have currently one lvl 60 and one twink on the beta realm. Right after I´ve dinged lvl 30 on my twink, I´ve set the xp rate to x0.5! Despite this, now after couple of dungeon runs and quests completed to gear up my twink I am nearly level 32. There were people at my level range always missing someone for RDF but I just didn´t want to join because If I ding one more level, yet alone 4 or 5 levels I am no longer a twink, but a leveler with a decent gear.
Not having the ability to stop the XP gain totally kills the PVE part of the game for twinks, that means no more quests completed, no more mobs killed and no dungeon runs to kill the time and help levelers to have better experience in dungeons.
Please consider adding the NPCS to stop the xp gain. It is a small change that I´m sure will make almost all of us future twinks happy and would not affect any other players in a negative way, they will not even notice.
Apologies if this was already addressed - could you update this FAQ post to include a new package of addons that will be supported? will we need addons that correlate to the expansion or the client? I think we'll be on the 3.5.1 client, so will those wrath addons work in vanilla etc

Addons have always been a player-creation. Many of the 3.3.5 addons you use on Icecrown work out of the box (examples from my non-vigorous testing: Skada shows data, DrDamage appears to display correct data, ElvUI seems to work perfectly, SmartBuff, Tbag, MikScrollingBattleText). Some need minor updates(QuestHelper needed 2 lines of code to check a table for nil). Some need overhauls(Talented--one I'm trying to fix). They've made an Onyxia-specific Addon Forum of you scroll down and look for it. Players will post their ports and fixes there as they come up with them.

how about set the realm to pvp by default, but add an npc that turn your character into peace mode that grants u reduced exp and gold reward. but at max lvl(i.e 60, 70 and 80) everyone will back to the pvp realm nature again so everyone can kill opposite players at max lvl, that way men can still kill each other and soyboi can level peacefully. the only downside is probably bots can still freely roam at lv79, but still maybe less botting and qq problem.

I haven't tested it, but from what I remember being posted...only 40 mans are being made 25 man, but other raid caps aren't being adjusted.
Personally I think ZG should be upped to 25, and AQ20 be made a 10 man...just for consistency with the 10/25 raidcaps in the rest of the phases, and so guilds can figure out how they want to adjust their rosters for TBC 10 mans (Kara/Zul'Aman) vs TBC 25 Mans (Gruul/Mag and the rest of the TBC Raids)...
