Site Will realm transfer be brought back?

According to the forums, link below, we used to be able to move characters between the realms.

As a new player, I have made a character on each to see which one I liked. I would like to consolidate these characters on the realm I have chosen.
The option from the store page is no longer there. Will it be returning? Or has it moved in the store?

When can I transfer from x to y realm?
Enabling transfers are at the sole discretion of the staff. Please do not open a thread in any section of the forum requesting it, as it will be swiftly deleted without response.

There are no realm transfers going. They haven't done this in a long time, the exceptions being at the end of seasonal realms player can opt in to transfer characters to other realms, namely Icecrown.

We had two WotLK realms with high rates, they were merged ages ago. I suppose the topic is just remnant of the past time when realm transfers were possible due to the natures of some realms being similar. Nowadays each realm is quite different from one another, so realm transfers aren't a thing due to that (besides what I wrote in the first paragraph).
