1. Considering that Prideful (S15) and Siege of Orgrimmar make up the final endgame of Mists of Pandaria their release will be also be simultaneous. How far and in each boss mode (raid finder/flex/normal/heroic) depends on our success and development pace, which as you can see is high now, even too high according to some people. Also reminding that developers scripting boss encounters and developers working on classes are different.
So the update to 5.4.8 will happen with that as well right?

  2. So the update to 5.4.8 will happen with that as well right?
We do support logging in-game with 5.4.8, however content wise can't promise anything in regard to the 0.0.8 bits as it will potentially require rewrite and overhaul of most things we would have developed by that time.

  3. Relax people. It was I who wrote the devlog and I assumed that people wanted to have a taste of the Siege of Orgrimmar content in the implementation of Immerseus. We're fine postponing any Siege of Orgrimmar encounter release until the next season while scripting those bosses in the background until the Prideful season is released together with hopefully a fully working Norushen by that time.

You're welcome. We must also keep in mind some delicate facts such as encounter complexity, for example Norushen, Siegebreaker Blackfuse (with belts) and Garrosh are much more complex to script than for example Immerseus Thok the Bloodthirsty. Optimizing development and maintaining balance is no trivial task on its own, and it is something for community members to keep in mind also.
Siege of Orgrimmar is what I have been waiting for before playing MoP on Warmane. It's the only part of the expansion that I really enjoyed. I look forward to testing the encounters. I managed to get 14/14 on normal and progressed to 9/14 on heroic on my main Ret Paladin with a casual-ish 25-man raiding guild on retail. I also progressed to 8/14 on heroic on a 535 ilvl Elemental Shaman (which is literally the only time I've ever played one). Until Warlords, that was the most fun I had with WoW since WotLK (Cata is just bad, very bad). I look forward to experiencing it again, and I plan to donate when that time comes.

I'm excited for it. I really can't wait!

  4. Sorry for double post.

I don't suppose you have any plans ATM regarding Prideful gear's item level discrepancy in particular?

    Spoiler: Show
In 5.4.7, Prideful gear was bumped from 540 to 550 item level so that PvPers stand a better chance against PvE geared players, where there is a huge discrepancy in item levels. 540 PvP ilvl max VS. 574 PvE ilvl max at the time. In 5.4.8, this gap was widened further when Blizzard started allowing 2 more item level upgrades on Siege of Orgrimmar items (increasing the gap by another 8 item levels).

I'm asking because I know there are some people concerned about it, though I don't care much about it myself. Progressing into Siege of Orgrimmar heroic gear and leaving Prideful armor at 540 will be more balanced for PvP vs. PvP (lower damage/heals going around than with 550 ilvl), but pvp will be more unbalanced when PvP vs. PvE gear.

    this, yes.. +1

  7. Releasing prideful gear with out the 77% passive resilience from 5.4.8 gonna be a problem because everybody will do too much dmg in pvp.

Also pls fix the buff stacking before u release new raid content because its just ridiculous how much dps players can gain from it.

+5% int/agi/strength from dudu, monk, pala, hunter pet is a total of +20% int/agi/strength

+10% stamina from priest, warr, lock, hunter pet is a total of +40% stamina

+10% attack power from dk, hunter, warr is a total of +30% attack power

+10% spellpower from mage, lock, hunter pet is a total of +30% sp

+3000 mastery from pala, shami, hunter pet is a total of +9000 mastery

+5% crit from dudu, mage, monk, hunter pet is a total of +20% crit

For example as a warrior u can get +20% strength, +30% ap, +9000 mastery and +20% crit.
Isnt this insane? Thats a dps increase of like 70% just from buffs.

Yep, agree on this, thats why they should just jump to 5.4.8 atm and fix the coding as we go forward to the SoO and Priedful release.

  9. PvP vs. PvE?? where? ppl still using pve gear in pvp?
People on retail did, especially outside of instanced pvp (bg's and arena) where there was an item level cap. Even scaled down, some items from Siege of Orgrimmar are VERY strong.

  10. You started to script SoO?? OK, but what about BGs?? We are on 5/11 BGs. Many ppl playing PvP too. Is it realy harder to script one SotA or IoC than SoO??

PLease, for the sake of the PvE comunity put a survey or something and ask PvE players if we want SoO. Imo (and I think we all share it) before ToT hc, there shouldn't be next raid. What you did on cata was rly good - scripting bosses in FL, releasing HC and then you released DS. I really hope that would be the case with mop as well :)

I hope this pve items wont destroy the world pvp. Its so dumb that these pve items are only scaled down in BGs and Arena and not in any kind of pvp.

  13. Go vote here then, if you want a challenging PVE, and enjoy ToT encounters : https://www.warmane.com/bugtracker/report/92

  14. Ofcourse we want SoO! But after full ToT is released. We want to get gear on the other ways! I don't want to play PvP so I can get gear to do ToT! Where is Isle of Thunder? Not just boring LFR ToeS, MSV. Full script ToT nm and HC, maybe give us some flex?
Majoroty of people here who don't want SoO are affraid pvp players.
    Keep up good job warmane!

This is what I kept saying. Blizzards intentions with MoP were to separate PvP from PvE (atleast in pvp instanced areas) with downscaling PvE items in arenas/battlegrounds. Even with downscaling some HC ToT gear was still strong in PvP areas (and on Warmane downscaling doesn't work so when HC ToT items land it's gonna be Shadowmourne, Gurthalak, Bone-Link etc... all over again, not to mention SoO items qq). For them to add proper 550ilvl Prideful Gear they need a custom client 5.4.2 to load 5.4.7-8 mpq files with correct stats or to update the server to atleast 5.4.7 which will surely break some stuff, but in my honest opinion if they have a good reverse engineer or manage to somehow get opcodes from other sources *cough* *cough* it's worth it in a long run.

EDIT: Come to think of it, releasing a couple of SoO bosses but without any loot could be a good thing testing wise.
