Nothing wrong with playing casual my friend. People have different lives/needs and the game can not catered to only those who are willing to sacrefice their firstborn. But I dont think you are like our friend above who does casual content like a casual and then complains that it isnt hard enough and catered towards casuals.
Personally I like being given choice and not hamfisted into certain ways and I certainly dont complain for making the choice I made.
I mean I don't turn my face away from Mythic content but then again I don't have the patience to do it every single week in WoD since it's boring. So you might as well call me a casual for that.
I like the fact of having choices but one thing is completely true: The game is way less complex and much easier (generalizing the game right now) while compared to the older content. I believe that's the point that he's trying to do through his comments.

Well that is not really in question in here. You can definitely refrain from doing Mythic Dungeons (Its a big gear check at this point). But is it proper to finish LFR Stonemaul and complain that its too easy? or think yourself qualified to comment on WoD radidng without ever stepping on Mythic HFC?

Honestly speaking it depends on a lot of things. There are lot of things that artificially increased difficulty:
1. There was very little Addons to help with things.
2. People were starting discover things like standard dragon fight mechanism, thus the trial and error made it feel different.
3. Class design was horrendous .... As a ret paladin I felt utterly useless and crappy in TBC and nearly same in Vanilla. If anyone brought on a ret paladin in a raid ... then they brought a burden and a liability imo.
4. Bosses were not properly tuned. Now a days it is tuned to make it possible to beat with teamwork .... in the old days it was more like, here is a new boss and now you beat it somehow. (Kinda like Start Trek's No win scenario test)
So .... yes the game is easier and some of it is because of proper improvements.
Mate, the thing I'm trying to say is, like magaginho said, retail right now is just plain boring. You say there are Mythic raids and challenges - so what? So. What. What do I get from them? Nothing. The game is just boring and senseless. Right now leveling pets and selling them for gold is probably the most profitable way to spend your time in this game, which is just ridiculous.
Yes, vanilla wasn't perfect. Some classes had pretty much only one viable spec for PvE and that was just Blizzard being bad at class design. But again - that doesn't mean they can't re-release vanilla and FIX those issues, add different tier versions for different roles etc. Vanilla is their game and they can fix it. They can't fix WoD though. Not anymore. They're thinking of making "pristine servers" without fly mounts, RDF, LFR etc. but they don't understand that the class design being the same will be like they did nothing.
Right now they're into negotiations with the Nostalrius team and I really hope they'll reach an agreement towards vanilla servers.
I'm sorry, but if you think this video is a fair comparison between both expansions', then you are more blinded by nostalgia and completely ignorant.
Firstly, you are comparing a battleground with another completely different feature.
Secondly, the battleground that is playing has music to increase the attention and awareness of the video. The video showing WoD has no music at all, which can mentally alter the opinion just through having music alone.
That wasn't a battleground. You never did play vanilla, your opinion on this counts for very, very little. Run along lemming

And this mentality right here, is exactly what led us to the current state of retail.
