1. and taralejs point was that you would become an even better player if you would use keybindings instead

  2. Wasn't aware people would take offense to my post, ha. I guess someone's ego couldn't take the fact a clicker reached higher rating than them so they had to come up with excuses. :)

I thought it was a well known fact that reaching higher ratings on retail was way harder than on private servers - considering most top rankers here abused a plethora of bugs and spammed mmr dropping to get there.
The point of my post was to show that you can be a decent player and click.
By the claim of who is retail from 2008 better than the current warmane+blackrock, right now skill cant make you reach r1 without proper gear, back when you played tbc and vanilla 99% players clicked, come click now and reach r1 also show us a video how you do that,we can also duel,i personally like such "experiments" everything you will do in our 1v1 for example i will do it lets say 20% or more faster and better. I don't take or was offendet, you just try to say like old people say that in football is all about talent lol, without physical stamina etc you cant play and you get owned.
You can be good player as clicker but you may never reach high or your maximum potential.

  3. taralej can I ask u a question? and im serious with this. I used to keybind before I got ran over asking me why I wear a wrist brace instead of a wrist band seems out of logic ive already said my left wrist locked up if I constanly move my fingers a wristband wont do plus it will cut off curculllation to my hand I admit sometimes I feel useless in wow ive taken a break from wow since I started this topic. also I just looked at ur post again I thought u were like kek ****ing bad I misread but when I do play again im gonna go and start on that1x server and try binding. I have been clicking so long I cant remember binding is like I remember in cata when I was doing rbgs w my guild we got high in rating and then I got ran over I caused my team to lose rating they wanted me to stay cause I was dedicated to the rbg craft but I wanted them to progress so I quit cata my gm called me a couple weeks after I deleted most of my toons on retail was disappointed that his most helpful and active guildy disappeared on the face of the earth that's when I went back to tbc and wrath haven't heard from them since I haven't binded since my accident but enough of that everyone has made valid points im pretty much afraid to bind on my 80 toon on dw so ill go 1x and do that looks good on paper at least

  4. I'm also a clicker. Retri paladins and hunters are fairly easy to manage with.

Personally I have optimized and stacked my action bars with bartender4 so I can move the mouse around faster between spells than the time it takes for global cooldowns. I'm also using standard resolution and specific mouse speed and thus have learnt where each spell is within pixel accuracy so I don't even look what I click because I remember the 5 lines of action bar stacks and every spell in them.

In the end if you go far enough, it doesn't matter if you click or not when playing a simple dps class. I can rival the button pushers in dps easily, though usually I lose with 100-200 dps. It's was not uncommon for me to be top dps at ragnaros in icc25hc.

However I can't manage healing at all as a clicker.. the reason being that the mouse should be used to acquire targets for the spells instead of casting the spells, so the time I lose when I cast the spells could be used to swap between targets instead. This makes me a slow healer compared to button pushers since I have to share the mouse movement between casting and swapping targets. It's not ideal at all, so I only play as dps because I already have photographic memory of my paladin's UI and all the spells in it.

PvP is not any different as the same things apply, for support spells, i'll just use @targetoftarget (with a line that filters me out) so I can HoP my arena partner without having to waste time to target him and then cast the spell, as that would take 1-2 seconds to do the both actions depending situation).

Rofl, your post didn't offend anyone, you can be sure of that. I simply disregarded it as I read it. 2200 is nothing and you using this as proof is like "I got an 80lvl character, so I must be good at WoW". Dude, really...

@tyll, so what is your question? I can understand if physical problems do not allow you to use keybinds, like you said with your wrist. I've got a knuckle under both my wrists from being a gamer for 16 years now, so I understand you. Sometimes I get a numb hand, sometimes these knuckles really start to sting into my skin. That's why you shouldn't be playing more than 6-8 hours a day (people say 3-4, but screw them). Your hands, just like your eyes and brain, need rest. And unlike your eyes and brain where simple rest is enough, you have to also do exercises so that you don't become a skinny/fatty slug of meat sitting in front of the computer all day (like I am).

Do try keybinding again and you'll see it's just a lot more easier and allows you to focus on the more important stuff - the actual game. I use 1-6 freely for my main action bar, then I also have Shift + 1-5 and Ctrl + 1-5, as well as Shift + mousewheelup and mousewheeldown, Shift + Q, E, C, I also use `, F, G and Y since these buttons are close enough and not bound to anything useful (you don't need to open your Achievements tab during fighting, lol, so why bind it). I also use the default F1 - F5 for my party members, as well as the default Ctrl + 1, 2, 3 for stance dancing. All in all, it's around 20 binds or so and it allows me to play much more smoother. And that's without even mentioning macros.

Now just imagine having to click all those things instead of pushing them and you can easily see why binding is better. As you said it yourself, the mouse should mainly be use for target acquisition or rarely cast spells such as buffs or portals or whatever. And then there's another question - how can you even move with your right-mouse hold if you're a clicker? Or are you gonna tell me that you're a keyboard turner too?
