WotLK Is this bannable?

Hi all.

So I just had 2 consecutive game freezes, while I was in a rdf dungeon. During the 1st lag spike, I felt that I had to close the game and relog quickly. I apologized to my teammates for the inconvenience and I explained them, that I had technical issues. But just when I said that, a few moments later the game froze again and when I relogged, I was outside the dungeon.

If I had to guess, my teammates might have reported me for "disrupting the gameplay" and "avoiding the deserter debuff", but when it wasn't my fault that the game crashed, can the gms ban me? I couldn't take a screenshot of me apologizing to my teammates, but I took one of the error window on the second crash (so you know, that I am not lying):

It's likely you can get banned for that since it seems like you just wanted to avoid the dungeon. But that would require someone to report you.

I see what you mean. Come to think of it, from my teammates's perspective the whole scenario may have seemed like I've wanted to skip the dungeon and avoid the debuff. The fact I got queued for Oculus speaks against me and I could imagine, that my relogging could have aroused suspicion by my teammates. When my game froze for the second time, I waited a bit before I opened the task manager. I've gotten lag spikes in the past, so I thought I could wait a bit for the screen to unfreeze itself. Unfortunately for me this wasn't the case, a lot of time had passed and yeah...it's all over now.

I guess I have to wait and see what tomorrow would bring for me. If I get banned, I will try to appeal it with the pics I showed above. If this is the case, then hopefully the gms would understand my situation and accept my appeal.

Quick question - may I send an appeal prematurely? I know that it takes some time before such tickets get handled, but IF the worst case scenario occurs, then it could be solved faster?

You can only make a ban appeal when you get banned. Ban appeal tickets usually take about a week and ban for refusing to play RDF is shorter than that. So making a ban appeal most likely would not shorten your ban if you get banned.

Normally you would get banned only if you ask to be kicked from the group. If you say that you are relogging or if you just go offline, that should not result in a ban if reported. But a GM might decide differently in specific cases.

I've made a thread about my game freezes in the past, but I couldn't get a helpful reply. Does anyone know what I should do, in order to fix this issue?

Big thanks for informing me about this addon. I don't use it, but I will keep in mind that it causes such issues, if I decide to download it. The addons, which I use, are the following:

- NPC Scan -> disabled on all toons.
- Gear Score + Bonus Scanner Continued 5.3 -> disabled on all toons (sometimes I enable it, when I join raids with my alts)
- EPGP
- Grid2
- Power Auras -> disabled on all toons
- Recount
- TellMeWhen.
- DBM.

if you're using wod models get rid of them. they're buggy. for gearscore make sure you're using gearscorelite as the regular one had issues.
